Sales is tangible for the CEO, it’s simply the cash register ringing, marketing on the other hand throws out terms like attribution, influence and engagement.

I’ve spent the last decade selling marketing to marketing leaders. The only constant is the inconsistency across the profession. Modern Marketing is defined by performance, much like sales, marketing should result in tangible business level outcomes.
